Isuzu Traviz Overview
The Isuzu Traviz, which debuted in November of this year, is the entry-level light commercial vehicle for the Japanese carmaker. The new light-duty truck continues the brand’s reputation of supplying dependable products at a reasonable price.
This model is the Philippine version of the Isuzu Traga cab-over pickup truck developed in Indonesia to replace the Panther and Bison pickup trucks.
The diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission powers the car. The engine was formerly used in the Isuzu Crosswind, the brand’s popular AUV.
Powering the truck is a familiar engine from the brand’s popular AUV, the Crosswind. It comes only with a 5-Speed manual transmission. So, it can be had in two wheelbase variants, one long and one short. And it can also be configured to come with several different bed options.

Isuzu Traviz Review

Isuzu Travis S | ₱962,000 |

Interior
The new Isuzu Traviz, the new entry-level commercial vehicle, looks a lot like the Isuzu Elf from the outside. It has the same flat face that is the same as the previous model, with two huge halogen headlights on either side of a large grille.
The grille also features the same design language as the Japanese brand’s passenger vehicles. The light-duty truck is equipped with 14-inch wheels and commercial-grade tires.
Exterior
Because the Traviz Isuzu is a commercial vehicle, anticipate the inside to be bare. This light-duty business vehicle’s 1DIN stereo and manual climate controls are standard. The seat is exclusively available in fabric.
The engine is located beneath the cabin, so the driver’s seat can only be shifted back and forth. The passenger seat is fixed in place and upright, with limited adjustability.
Technology & Safety Features
The Isuzu Traviz features 3-point seatbelts for all passengers’ safety, seat belt warning, crash sensor, side and front impact beams, height-adjustable front seatbelts, engine check warning, and door ajar warning.
The 1DIN stereo with a USB connector and tuner radio are among the technological highlights found in the new Isuzu Traviz. The sound in this commercial truck is transmitted using a two-speaker sound system. In the Isuzu Traviz, an optional AC system with a reverse warning siren is also offered.
Engine
Regarding Isuzu Traviz engine specs, a 4JA1 engine is used. It’s the same engine code seen in the now-defunct Crosswind AUV for those familiar with Isuzu engines. Because the internals of the engine is straightforward. It’s an overhead-valve unit or OHV. And there are only eight valves.
However, its simplicity gives it an edge in terms of upkeep. Therefore, it’s simple (and inexpensive) to maintain operating, and many mechanics are already familiar with it.
